The Imhoff Foundation
In December 2000, Hans Imhoff established the charitable Imhoff Foundation. In doing so, he turned his desire to do good in his home town into reality.
With the new exhibition "Chocolate is a feeling", the Chocolate Museum creates a sensual and emotional journey that will make the hearts of chocolate lovers beat faster.
It gets colorful at the top of the Chocolate Museum! Ten colorful stations full of emotions await you. They symbolize feelings that we all associate with chocolate. A red heart that pulsates when touched stands for love, a diamond for luxury, a Lindt bunny for festivity, the colorful M&M's for friendship.
Discover, experience and interact: You can do this with a sad emoji captioned with the sentiment "Hangry". Feed it to raise its blood sugar level and watch how anger turns into a good mood. Thanks to chocolate - true to the motto chocolate makes you happy!
Advertising also conveys emotions. A large media wall is dedicated to sweet advertising from many decades. A nostalgia column also shows how the advertising industry dealt with chocolate in the past. This nostalgic journey through advertising stories is not only a feast for the eyes, but also proof of how closely chocolate and emotions are linked.
Immerse yourself in a world full of emotions aroused by the sweet temptation! Be inspired by the variety of chocolate feelings and come by!
We are delighted that our Climate Chocolate Tree is back in the exhibition. You can plant a tree in Mexico with a small donation. You can find out how this works and more about the Climate Chocolate Tree here.
