Harbour Christmas Market Chocolate Museum

Set against a picturesque backdrop right on the Rhine, the Cologne Harbor Christmas Market at the Chocolate Museum will once again bring the entrance to the Rheinauhafen to life this year and add a maritime touch to Cologne’s festive season. Here, your guests will experience a unique atmosphere and a wide variety of Christmas offerings. Numerous artisans and food vendors invite you to stroll through the market and linger in the unique harbor atmosphere. The square in front of the Chocolate Museum has been a trusted destination among Cologne’s Christmas markets for over 25 years. Its location near the Old Town and directly on the Rhine is one of the most beautiful in Cologne and can be reached in just a few minutes on foot via the Rhine promenade from the Old Town/Cathedral as well as the city center. The market square, together with the Chocolate Museum, the historic harbor swing bridge (Cologne’s oldest surviving bridge over the Rhine), the Malakoff Tower (the historic watchtower at the entrance to Cologne’s harbor), and the modern art’otel, forms the gateway to a brand-new district—the Rheinauhafen.
