Time travel of cocoa the new exhibition
The new exhibition invites you on an exciting journey of discovery through over 5,000 years of cocoa history. It starts with the origins in Ecuador and takes you all the way to modern chocolate production.
Have you ever wondered how the cocoa bean travels all the way from West Africa to your chocolate? Or the hard work behind every bar? Then we have just the thing for you: The Chocolate Museum celebrated its 30th anniversary with a brand new exhibition that will take you on an unforgettable "world tour of cocoa"!
"Intowada" is the inscription on an ancient West African dugout canoe boat. It is the first exhibit that catches your eye when you start the "World Voyage of Cocoa". "Intowada" means "Don't give up hope". And that is also the message we want you to take away with you: Despite all the challenges, there are many positive developments in cocoa and chocolate production.
What can you expect?
Why you shouldn't miss it: We've come up with something special for you: The new exhibition is not only informative, but also an experience for the whole family. You will be surprised at how varied and exciting the world of cocoa is. And, of course, we have also thought about the pleasure: In our "Glass Chocolate Factory" you can follow the various stages of chocolate production and, of course, taste delicious Lindt chocolate from the chocolate fountain at the end.
